ما هو الباب المخفي؟What is a hidden door?

الباب المخفي باب يُركَّب على نفس مستوى الجدار، ويُكسى بنفس خامته — خشب، أو بديل رخام، أو دهان، أو ورق جدران — فلا يظهر منه إلا خط رفيع حول الفتحة. يعتمد على إطار مدفون داخل الجدار ومفصلات مخفية لا تُرى، ويُفتح بالضغط أو بمقبض غائر صغير. النتيجة جدار متصل بلا انقطاع، وهو ما يجعله مناسباً للمجالس والصالات والممرات وغرف النوم التي يُراد لها مظهر هادئ وفخم.A hidden door sits flush with the wall and is finished in the same material — timber, stone-look panels, paint or wallpaper — so all that shows is a fine line around the opening. • باب مخفي بتلبيس الجدار: الباب جزء من تلبيس خشبي أو شرائح أو بديل رخام يغطي الجدار كاملاً، فتستمر الخطوط والعروق فوق الباب بلا انقطاع.Cladding-integrated door: the door is part of timber, slatted or stone-look cladding covering the whole wall, so lines and veining run across it without a break.

أين يناسب الباب المخفي؟Where does a hidden door work best?

يناسب أي مكان فيه أكثر من باب على جدار واحد، أو باب لا تريد أن يلفت النظر: باب دورة مياه الضيوف في المجلس، باب المخزن في الصالة، أبواب الغرف على ممر طويل، أو باب غرفة الملابس داخل غرفة النوم. ويُفضَّل التخطيط له قبل التشطيب أو مع تلبيس الجدار، لأن الإطار يُثبَّت داخل الجدار نفسه.It suits anywhere with several doors on one wall, or a door you would rather not draw attention to: the guest WC door in a majlis, a store door in the living room, bedroom doors along a long corridor, or a dressing-room door inside a bedroom. It is best planned before finishing or together with wall cladding, because the frame is fixed inside the wall itself.
