خزانة الملابس وحدة مبنية على جدار، بأبواب، تحفظ الملابس داخلها. الدريسنج روم مساحة تمشي داخلها، تحيط بك الرفوف ومناطق التعليق من جهة أو أكثر، وغالباً فيها مرآة كبيرة ومكان للجلوس وتغيير الملابس.A wardrobe is a unit built against a wall, with doors, holding clothes inside. A dressing room is a space you walk into, with shelving and hanging on one or more sides, usually with a large mirror and somewhere to sit and change.

1. المساحة1. Space

الدريسنج روم يحتاج ممراً تتحرك فيه أمام الرفوف، وهذا الممر مساحة لا تُخزَّن فيها ملابس. لذلك في الغرف الصغيرة والمتوسطة تعطيك الخزانة المدمجة سعة تخزين أكبر من نفس المساحة. أما إذا كانت عندك غرفة صغيرة ملاصقة، أو جزء من غرفة نوم كبيرة يمكن فصله بجدار جبس أو زجاج، فالدريسنج يصير خياراً منطقياً.A dressing room needs a walkway in front of the shelves, and that walkway stores nothing. So in small and medium rooms a built-in wardrobe gives more storage from the same floor area. If you have a small adjoining room, or part of a large bedroom that can be closed off with a gypsum or glass partition, a dressing room starts to make sense.

إذا كنت تحب ترى كل ملابسك وتنسّق إطلالتك أمام المرآة، أو كان شخصان يستخدمان المكان في نفس الوقت صباحاً، فالدريسنج يريحك. وإذا كان استخدامك سريعاً وعملياً فالخزانة تكفي، خصوصاً مع تقسيم داخلي مدروس.If you like to see all your clothes and put outfits together in front of a mirror, or two people get ready at the same time, a dressing room is more comfortable. If your routine is quick and practical, a well-planned wardrobe is enough.

3. الغبار والتنظيف3. Dust and cleaning

في المنطقة الشرقية الغبار جزء من الحياة اليومية. الخزانة بأبوابها المغلقة تحمي الملابس أكثر. الدريسنج المفتوح يحتاج تنظيفاً أكثر، لذلك نقترح فيه غالباً أبواب زجاج للملابس المعلقة، وترك الرفوف المفتوحة للأحذية والشنط اليومية فقط.In the Eastern Province dust is part of daily life. A wardrobe with closed doors protects clothes better. An open dressing room needs more cleaning, so we usually suggest glass doors for hanging clothes and keep open shelving for everyday shoes and bags only.

الدريسنج روم يضيف إحساساً فندقياً للغرفة، ويُعتبر ميزة واضحة في الفلل. والخزانة المدمجة من الأرض للسقف تعطي الغرفة شكلاً نظيفاً هادئاً وتختفي في التصميم. كلاهما جميل إذا نُفّذ على المقاس الصحيح.A dressing room adds a hotel-like feel and is a clear feature in a villa. A floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobe gives the room a calm, clean look and disappears into the design. Both look good when built to the right size.
